The 3 Stage Ink Leveler allows the printer to purchase an ink leveler in 3 stages depending on requirements and budget. The first stage allows manual control of the ink level with even flow into the fountain while the second stage includes remote monitoring of the ink level without requiring the pressman to climb the units. The third stage upgrades the leveler to full automatic status without having to modify either of the initial two stages.

The first stage includes the extruded aluminum manifold which mounts over the fountain as well as the cheekplate brackets, adjustable length arm, even distribution ink nozzles and 90° ink fitting (1/2” npt) on the gear side.

The second stage incorporates a control box and a sliding swivel sensor with built-in tilt switch that easily mounts to the existing manifold. The remotely located control box allows the printer to view the status of his fountain (full or fill) however still requires the pressman to fill the fountain manually. The second stage allows the pressman to view his fountain status without having to climb the units, decreases his chances of running empty fountains and is more likely to run a more even fountain therefore saving the printer both time and money .

The third stage includes the valve box which is designed to mount separately on the gear side of the press or directly to the ink drop line. This third stage enables the leveler to run in full automatic mode and requires no modifications from either stage one or two.
