Enables the pump station about 4” of movement to ease the coupling and de-coupling of the suction line connector. Allows a single person to easily change out a tote. Usually used with a set of tote guides. The sequence goes like this: The empty tote is decoupled. The empty tote is removed from the station. A new tote is brought to the station and butted against the tote guides. The pump is slid forward to complete the couple. In most cases there needs to be two guys to handle the change out procedure if there are no guides in place; one to guide the tote into place and the other to drive the forklift. With the Guide & Slide… a single guy can come in, butt the toteto the guide, hop around and slide the coupler into place, open the valve and turn the pump back on.
